Xcaret Eco Park is a world-renowned eco-park that offers a variety of activities for families, including swimming in cenotes (natural sinkholes), exploring Mayan ruins, and watching traditional Mexican performances. Xenses by Xcaret hasboth 50 exhibits of optical illusions (such as Path of Feeling, where you’ll pass a village that will test your sense of balance). There are also 14 air, land and water activities here so everyone will find something fun to do at this unforgettable park.
Xplore Park has breath-taking rock formation and 14 zip-lines in this adventure park. You can slo drive fun amphibious vehicles through the beautiful Caribbean jungle trails.
Xoximilco Mexican Floating Fiesta will teach you Mexican culture, customs, and traditions through music, dance, games, and food all on board colorful Mexican Gondolas.
Playa Delfines is another popular spot that is also kid-friendly. This public beach is a great place to swim, sunbathe, and build sandcastles. It also has a playground and a concession stand.
Cancun Scenic Tower is 260 feet so you’ll get the best views of Cancun which means pictures you take here are going to be the ones you’ll want to share when you go back home. Isla Mujeres is accessibly by ferry from the Hotel Zone and it’s the perfect place to go for a day trip with your family. This charming island is a paradise for families. You can rent a golf cart to explore the island, visit the Turtle Farm, or relax on beautiful Playa Norte, known for its calm, shallow waters perfect for young swimmers. Isla Mujeres offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of Cancun’s mainland.
Parque Las Palapas offers a low-key, local experience in downtown Cancun. This vibrant park comes alive in the evenings with food stalls, live music, and a playground for the kids. It’s an excellent place to enjoy authentic Mexican street food while immersing yourself and your family in the local culture.
Museums and Aquariums
Interactive Aquarium Cancun is a great place to learn about the marine life of the Caribbean Sea. Located inside La Isla Shopping Mall, the massive aquarium has thousands of species of fish. Snorkeling or diving among these sculptures is not only entertaining but also serves as a unique way to raise awareness about marine conservation. Shopping
Mercado 28 is a traditional Mexican market where you can find souvenirs, handicrafts, and fresh produce. It’s a great place to experience Mexican culture and do some shopping at the same time. Don’t be afraid to haggle to get a great deal!
Plaza Kukulkan is a shopping mall located in the Hotel Zone where you’ll find a good number of stores from international brands as well as excellent restaurants.
La Isla Shopping Village is an upscale shopping mall located in the heart of the Hotel Zone (which houses the Interactive Aquarium Cancun mentioned above). Like Plaza Kukulkan, it features a variety of stores and families can also find kid-friendly restaurants at La Isla, making it a great place to spend a day shopping and dining.
