Turtle River Falls and Gardens
Turtle River Falls and Gardens offers a relaxed vibe for those who want a tropical experience at a slow and easy pace. If is 15 acres of land offering mountainside gardens accented by the sounds of soft rivers, 14 waterfalls, small pools, hammocks, and a koi pond. Don’t miss the aviary where you can feed, pet and learn about the exotic birds in this area such as the colorful parrots.
Fern Gully Scenic Drive
Jump in a car and drive through this incredible five-kilometer winding road accented by towering ferns that form a perfect canopy above you as you take in the fresh tropical air here. Surrounded by thick foliage, you’ll feel like you are in a naturally-made tunnel that allows splashes of sunlight to peak through the gorgeous greenery. There are places to stop along the way on the side of the road to grab souvenirs and hand-made crafts as well.
Green Grotto Caves
The Green Grotto Caves are Jamaica’s famous limestone caves once used by the Arawak Indians and supposedly the hideaway of escaped slaves and Spanish settlers.
Learn the history of the caves, see the intricate stalactites and stalagmites and explore the underground lake.
Konoko Falls & Park
When you want to go somewhere relaxing and family-friendly, we highly recommend Konoko Falls & Park. Your guide will take you through picture-perfect botanical gardens with koi ponds, streams and tropical flowers with mesmerizing fragrances. You’ll also have the chance to see a museum here to learn more about Jamaican history. There is also a small zoo here full of tropical birds.

There are so many river rafting tours available in Ocho Rios because this is an especially popular activity to do when you’re here. Many will offer you a cool fruity drink to enjoy and most stop by areas where you can shop or just stretch your legs as you take in the beautiful tropical plants and flowers nearby.
Ocho Rios Margaritaville
Created by famed musician Jimmy Buffet, the intention was to create a place where people could go to have fun and relax while getting great food. And it keeps that promise! You’ll find this one listed as a must-see place across many travel sites for a reason! Enjoy the restaurant with menu items that are sure to please even the pickiest eaters plus a bar with a two-story waterslide and a swimming pool. In the evening, the scene changes to more of a nightclub vibe here but it is a fun place for families during the day.
River Tubing
White River is one of the best spots to visit for river tubing.
